There are immense possibilities of investment in every sector in Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal :  Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh has immense possibilities of investment in every sector. There is immense water resource of rivers like Narmada, Tapti etc., continuous electricity is available, forest wealth, good network of roads, railways and airways and big concessions are available to industries. The Chief Minister invited the beautiful Bhopal city with lakes, mountains and forest wealth to attend the Global Investors Summit to be held on 24 and 25 February. He said that maximum investment should be made in Madhya Pradesh and these dates should be made unforgettable. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the industrialists at the curtain raiser program of GIS-2025 in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of our country’s miraculous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is rapidly progressing towards becoming the third economic power after being the 5th largest economy in the world. Investors have an important contribution in this work. India is ahead in human resources along with natural resources. We can move ahead only by expanding industries. Our Prime Minister Shri Modi is touring the world and continuously working for the progress of India. Under his leadership, India’s respect has increased all over the world.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the industry and investment policy of Madhya Pradesh is very friendly to investors. We are giving special importance to start-ups. Along with various types of concessions in industries, utmost care is taken to ensure that all their work is completed on time. Land in Madhya Pradesh is 1/40 times cheaper than Delhi and 1/100 times cheaper than Mumbai. There is unlimited possibility of investment in all sectors in Madhya Pradesh, especially in the field of textiles. We give 200 percent incentive on textiles, our cotton is of high quality. During my visit to Japan, the owner of Uniqlo company also mentioned this.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that at one time people used to feel hesitant in meeting industrialists, but we have changed that perception. We are constantly communicating with industrialists and investors. Regional Industry Conclaves have been organized at small places in the state. Industrialists have an important place in the society. Industries generate employment and employment provides livelihood to people. In a way, industrialists are the guardians of the society.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today the world is saying that we will be free from war by following the path of Buddha. Mahatma Buddha was from our country. India has given the message of peace and welfare to the whole world. We are in favor of peace and development.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India has made its mark on the global stage

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said at the Invest MP Curtain Raiser program of GIS-2025 in Delhi that the curtain raiser of the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal on 24-25 February was not just a formal program but a glimpse of a strong and prosperous Madhya Pradesh full of possibilities. Today, the 3D model of our investment has been appreciated by the industry across the world. This model is a symbol of the investors’ drive, the state’s development and our determination. We will continue to work towards making Madhya Pradesh a center of innovation and industrial revolution by building a strong partnership with investors. It is a matter of pride for us that Madhya Pradesh is moving ahead and becoming an industry ready state. We have invited industrialists from all sectors. 

400 More than participants attended

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that more than 400 participants participated in the event, which included investors from New Delhi and surrounding areas. Diplomats and business representatives from 40 countries, ambassadors, high commissioners, counselors, chief secretaries, economic and business experts etc. also participated. The event witnessed one-to-one meetings with over 15 key industry leaders including Mr. Jagrut Kotecha (CEO, PepsiCo India & South Asia), Mr. Punit Dalmia (Chairman, Dalmia Bharat), Mr. Madhavkrishna Singhania (Joint Managing Director & CEO, JK Cement), Mr. Vineet Mittal (Chairman, Avaada Group), Mr. Jean-Marc Leclercq (CEO, Soufflet Malt), Mr. Rikant Pitti (Founder, EaseMyTrip), Mr. Vinay Vyas (CEO, FusionX Energy), Mr. Anil Chalamalasetti (Group CEO & MD, Greenko Group), Mr. Vineet Arya (Vice Chairman, JBM Group), Mr. Rahul Mittal (Chairman & Managing Director, RITES) and Ms. Anusuya Ray (Vice President Corporate Affairs, AB-Inwave India).

Many countries have shown interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh

In the curtain-raiser program of Global Investors Summit 2025, ambassadors of various countries described Madhya Pradesh as an investment destination full of possibilities and expressed their desire to invest in various sectors. The Ambassador of Australia spoke about giving priority to cooperation in education, agriculture and skill development, while the Ambassador of Mexico praised the policies of the state and expressed a positive attitude towards investment possibilities. The Ambassador of Albania expressed his interest in the field of urban planning, while the Ambassador of Zimbabwe showed enthusiasm for partnership in the agriculture sector. The Ambassador of Slovenia expressed his commitment to the possibilities of investment and cooperation in the tourism sector. The interest of various countries is proof of the fact that Madhya Pradesh is becoming a favorite destination for global investors due to its strategic policies, strong infrastructure and investment-friendly environment.

Madhya Pradesh: Industry’s first choice as a strategic investment destination: Shri Singhania

Chairman of CII Northern Region and Deputy Managing Director and CEO of JK Cement, Mr. Madhav Krishna Singhania said that the strategic location of the state, investment friendly policies and smooth processes make it an attractive destination for investors. He informed that JK Cement started its industrial journey in the state in the year 2016 with the establishment of wall putty plant in Katni. After this, plants were also established in Ujjain and Panna. Recently, the company has announced to invest Rs 3 thousand crore in Panna. The strategic geographical location of Madhya Pradesh plays an important role for logistics. High-level infrastructure, well-organized administrative process and industry-friendly policies in the state are attracting investors. Through various sector-focused policies, the government is making improvements according to the needs of investors, due to which Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a true investment-friendly state. Avaada Group Chairman Mr. Vineet Mittal also shared his experiences.

Two interactive round table meetings were held

The curtain raiser event saw two interactive round table meetings in Delhi. The first interactive round table was held with leading telecom companies to discuss the future of telecom in India and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. The event began with the welcome address by the Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The Principal Secretary, DPIIP, gave an overview of the proposed telecom park, which is a major step towards strengthening the digital infrastructure of the state. The event was attended by leading industry experts including from the Union Ministry of Telecommunications, Dixon Technologies, Reliance Jio, Ericsson, and Nokia. The discussions focused on topics such as 5-G, Make in India, telecom equipment manufacturing, and skill development. Also, discussions were held on the proposed telecom park near Gwalior, government subsidies, and policy reforms to attract investors.

The second interactive round table was held with prominent ambassadors and diplomats. In this, the strategic framework of GIS-2025 was presented and international investors were made aware of the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh’s vast industrial potential, investment-friendly policies, and strong infrastructure were presented. 51 diplomats and business representatives from 40 countries attended the meeting. These included 13 ambassadors, 4 high commissioners, 5 charge d’affaires, 3 deputy heads, 6 counselors, 4 first secretaries, 2 second secretaries, and 5 economic and business experts.

Developed nations like the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan are partner countries in GIS

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that developed nations like United Kingdom, Germany and Japan are participating in the Global Investors Summit as partner countries. This global representation reflects the growing opportunities of international trade and investment in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the Curtain Raiser program organized in New Delhi, ambassadors, investors, policy-makers and industrialists from various sectors were contacted and requested to ensure their participation in the industrial development of Madhya Pradesh. They were told that easy processes, transparent policy framework and 24×7 government support are being ensured for investors.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is bringing new policies to promote innovation, start-ups, and manufacturing, incentive schemes have been implemented. Madhya Pradesh is entering the next phase of investment campaign with GIS-2025. A grand Global Investors Summit will be organized on 24-25 February in Bhopal, the city of Raja Bhoj, the city of lakes, the state capital.  

Prime Minister Shri Modi to launch GIA-2025

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit. More than 20 thousand investors, industrialists and other dignitaries from India and abroad will participate. Representatives from 40 countries will also be present. The summit will have focused sessions on every sector – from urban development to IT, from renewable energy to tourism. MSME Summit and Pravasi Madhya Pradesh Summit will be organized for medium, micro and small industries. Possibilities of new partnerships with developing countries will be explored through the Global South session.  

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that GIS is a golden opportunity for innovators, start-up founders and industrialists to grow their business. Madhya Pradesh is rapidly emerging as an industrial and investment hub. GIS-2025 will provide an important platform in this direction, where global and national investors can take advantage of the immense possibilities of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I am confident that the Curtain Raiser program held in Delhi will take Madhya Pradesh to a new height on the global investment map. We will continue to strive for the economic progress, employment generation and overall development of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited all investors to come to Madhya Pradesh and participate in this summit. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked all the ambassadors, investors, industrialists and policy makers who helped in making this program a success. He said that let us all together make Madhya Pradesh an ideal center of investment and development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is dynamic and industry friendly: Chief Secretary Mr. Jain

Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain said that the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is dynamic and industry friendly. He believes that development should be coordinated and all-round. Due to this idea of ​​​​Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the 7th Global Investors Summit in Madhya Pradesh is going to be organized in Bhopal for the first time. Chief Secretary Mr. Jain said that before this summit, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav organized a Regional Industry Conclave to accelerate the pace of development in various regions of the state. Not only this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav went to major cities of the country as well as UK, Germany and Japan and invited investors to become partners in the development of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Secretary Mr. Jain said that GIS-2025 is going to be held in the city of lakes Bhopal in a special environment of natural beauty amidst the reserve forest. Quoting the Rigveda, he said that one gets virtue just by seeing the life-giving Narmada river of Madhya Pradesh. The city of Indore in the state has been securing the first position in cleanliness for 7 consecutive times and the state is at the second position in cleanliness. Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in the field of renewable energy. Currently, the share of renewable energy in the total energy here is 30 percent, which will increase to 50 percent by 2030. He requested industrialists to come and invest in the state.

There are immense investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh

Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that there are immense possibilities of investment in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is working with determination to make the state an industrial hub by devoting most of his time to the Industry Department. Mentioning the features of GIS-2025 to be held in Madhya Pradesh, he said that there will be sector-wise summits in it and every industrialist will be provided simple and easy facilities for investment. During the program, a short film centered on GIS-2025 was also screened.
