Theme based parks will be developed in the state like Barcelona: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: On the last day of his Spain visit, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the world-famous heritage sites of art, culture and architecture in Barcelona on July 19. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited three major sites of Barcelona, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia and Picasso Museum. He deeply observed and understood the examples of creativity, architectural beauty and cultural preservation shown in these sites in the development context of Madhya Pradesh.

A wonderful combination of organic architecture – Park Guell The tour started from the famous Park Guell, which is considered a symbol of a unique coordination of nature and architecture. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw this UNESCO World Heritage Site designed by world-renowned architect Antonio Gaudi with special interest. He described places like ‘Dragon Stairs’ decorated with natural shapes, colorful mosaics, ‘Hypostyle Hall’ with 86 columns and ‘Serpentine Bench’ as inspiring from the point of view of urban beautification, green development and development of cultural public places. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that such theme-based parks equipped with artistry and traditional art can also be developed in Madhya Pradesh. A unique confluence of spirituality, science and nature: Sagrada Familia Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Sagrada Familia. Sagrada Familia is Europe’s most magnificent historical church which has been under construction for 140 years and is a symbol of cultural faith and architectural innovation across the world. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav especially underlined the depth of religious architecture, use of organic shapes and symbolic art in this most ambitious project of famous architect Antonia Gaudí. He said that an approach of long-term vision, public participation and global design coordination should be adopted in the development of religious places like Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Chitrakoot.

A living example of art and expression – Picasso Museum Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also visited the Picasso Museum on the last day of his Barcelona visit. This museum, rich with the works of Pablo Picasso, is a living example of art, innovation and expression. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw the series like “Los Meninas”, the Cubism movement and the interactive galleries of the museum displayed here. He expressed the need to make the plan to take Madhya Pradesh’s traditional arts like Gond, Phad, Mandna etc. to digital platforms and international forums more effective. He said that art is not only a medium of identity, but is also an effective tool for education, employment and tourism development. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spoke of taking inspiration from these places and working on a long-term and structured action plan in the areas related to art, architecture, religious tourism and urban innovation in the state. He said that art, culture and heritage conservation play an important role in the development of Madhya Pradesh, and a lot can be learned from these global examples. At the same time, the Chief Minister prepared to return to India with the experiences of his stay in Barcelona. In the evening, the Chief Minister will leave for Delhi from Barcelona via Dubai.
