The process of closing the doors of the Dham has started
The process of closing the doors of Badrinath Dham has started. Today, on the second day of the religious process Vedic Panch Puja, the doors of Adi Kedareshwar Temple and Adi Guru Shankaracharya Temple have also been closed with rituals. Before the doors were closed, Annakut Bhog was offered to Lord Adi Kedareshwar.
The chief priest of Badrinath Dham, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, offered Annakut (cooked rice) to Lord Adi Kedareshwar. Along with worship, Lord Adi Kedareshwar and Nandi were coated with hot rice from all sides. During this, special prayers were performed for Lord Shri Adi Kedareshwar. Finally, the doors of Shri Adi Kedareshwar Temple and Adi Guru Shankaracharya Ji’s temple were closed for the winter season.
Khadak Pustak Puja and recitation of Vedic verses will be closed tomorrow
The doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed for the winter season on 17 November. The process of closing the doors has started from November 13. BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur said that under the Panch Pujas, Ganesh Puja was performed on the first day of November 13 and the doors of the Ganesh temple were closed on the same day in the evening. Today, on the second day, the doors of Adi Kedareshwar and Shankaracharya temples were closed.
Tomorrow, on November 15, Khadak Pustak Puja and recitation of Veda Richas will be stopped. On November 16, Kadhai Bhog will be offered to Maa Lakshmi. The doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed at 9:07 pm on November 17.
