At the same time, Deepotsav has also been started in Yamunotri Dham from Wednesday itself.
The process of closing the doors of the four Dhams for the winter season starts from Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. On the upcoming 2nd November, on the festival of Annakoot, the doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter season. Suresh Semwal, Secretary of Shri Panch Gangotri Mandir Samiti, said that the process of closing the doors will start with Deepotsav on 1st November. Firecrackers will not be burst in the Dham. But the Ganga Ghat along with the Ganga temple will be decorated with lamps.
The doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed at 12:14 minutes
It was told that Ganga temple will also be decorated with about 7 to 8 quintals of flowers. It was told that the process of closing the doors will start from 4 am on November 2. During this, after special aarti and worship, the golden idol of Mother Bhagwati Ganga will be placed in her doli. Also, ghee-oil etc. will be poured in the silver akhand lamp for six months. It was told that the doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed at 12:14 minutes.
