The next Central Regional Council meeting will be held in Bastar

Raipur 24 June 2025: During the 25th meeting of the Central Regional Council held in Varanasi, it was informed that the next meeting will be held in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. This decision is being seen as a historic initiative towards bringing the remote and challenging areas of the country into the mainstream of national policy-making. Organizing a meeting of this level in an area like Bastar is a strong symbol of the policy of inclusive development and good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

During the meeting, senior officials expressed hope that by the next council meeting, significant and decisive progress would have been made towards Naxal eradication in Bastar. With this belief, the council has aimed to present the Bastar region as a model of peace, stability and development. This announcement is a testimony to better coordination and collective will between the state and the Center. Welcoming the decision, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that organizing such a high-level meeting in Bastar is not only a matter of pride for the region, but it will also give new energy to the development there. He expressed confidence that with the support of the central government, Bastar is now moving towards becoming a symbol of possibilities rather than struggle.
