The lives of the tribal community are changing due to the PM Janman Yojana: Governor Shri Patel

Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the Central and State Governments are benefiting the special backward tribes on priority basis. Through PM Jan-Man Yojana, special efforts are being made to provide basic facilities like concrete houses, roads, electricity, water, health, schools and Anganwadi centers in the Baiga, Sahariya and Bharia special backward tribal settlements. Governor Shri Patel said this during a dialogue with the people of the Baiga tribe at PM Janman Gram Kothi in Dhimarkheda Tehsil of Katni district.
Governor Shri Patel said that it is a matter of good fortune for all of us to have a visionary and sensitive leadership in the form of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the overall development of Janman villages. The Prime Minister is particularly sensitive towards the tribal community. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is continuously working for the welfare of the backward classes and individuals of the society.
Home entry of PM Janman Yojana beneficiaries
Before the dialogue program with the Baiga beneficiaries at Janman Gram Kothi, Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel also visited the houses of the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana. He learned about the changes in the lives of the beneficiaries after getting the benefits of the scheme.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel first of all gave the griha pravesh to PM Janman Awas beneficiaries Chandabai Baiga, Bhallu Baiga and Soni Baiga in the permanent houses built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana with rituals and puja-anushthan. People of the Baiga community welcomed Governor Shri Patel by applying tilak and putting a shawl on him. The Baiga families presented him a painting based on folk art as a gift.
Women’s lives changed by joining self-help groups
Governor Shri Patel said that women have developed economically and socially by joining self-help groups. Women’s self-confidence has increased. Women are now becoming self-reliant by starting their own business. Women’s respect has also increased in the family. Governor Shri Patel also discussed with the beneficiaries in the Samvad program. During this, Didi Rajkumari of the poultry group of Ajeevika Mission told that after joining the self-help group, she earns an additional income of about 8 thousand rupees per month. Her husband does farming, due to which he is earning a good livelihood.
Governor Shri Patel had food at Namelal Baiga’s house
Governor Shri Patel had lunch at the home of a Baiga tribal family during his stay in Umaria district. He tasted kutki kheer at the home of Shri Namelal Baiga, a resident of Tagratola. On this occasion, beneficiaries of PM Janman Yojana, their families, MP Shahdol parliamentary constituency Smt. Himandri Singh, MLA Manpur Ms. Meena Singh, MLA Bandhavgarh Shri Shivnarayan Singh, Shahdol division commissioner Smt. Surabhi Gupta, Sarpanch Smt. Rekha Baiga also had lunch. He inspected the Anganwadi Centre operating in Tagratola of Gram Panchayat Lodha of Umaria district. He celebrated the birthday of Shivangi Yadav and Kartik Yadav of Anganwadi Centre by cutting a cake and blessed them.
There is no progress without education…
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel inspired the present Baiga families to educate their children compulsorily. He said that a person can progress in life only by getting educated. Only when the sons and daughters of the house study, they will progress. He said that due to the special efforts of the government, lack of money is no longer a hindrance in the path of education. The government is fulfilling the responsibility from the birth of daughters to getting them educated abroad. The state and central governments are running many schemes for the education of students, taking advantage of which any person can get better education. Governor Shri Patel said that parents must send their children to Anganwadi. He also advised the villagers to stay away from drugs.
The Governor praised the Katni Collector
Governor Shri Patel inspected the houses after giving Grihapravesh to 3 Baiga families in PM Janman Awas. Governor Shri Patel saw the quality of the new houses built for the Baiga families. He praised Collector Shri Dilip Kumar Yadav for providing a quality building of Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas to the Baiga family.
Inspection of buildings under construction
Governor Shri Patel inspected the construction work of the multipurpose centre being built at a cost of Rs 60 lakh in village Kothi and the Anganwadi building being built at a cost of about Rs 12 lakh in Baiga Mohalla here. The Governor directed the officials to ensure quality building construction.
Nutritional food kit given to TB patient
Governor Shri Patel provided a food basket nutrition kit to a 15-year-old TB patient girl in Kothi village as part of the 100-day TB free campaign. He advised the people and patients present to take TB medicines regularly and eat nutritious food.
