Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the newly built Innovation Center at the inter-state bus stand in Bhatgaon by cutting the ribbon. Also, virtually inaugurated the newly built co-working space, Aarambh in the multi-level parking of Jayastambh Chowk. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai announced the establishment of Center for Innovation, Trade and Skilling, construction of 1000 seater co-working space in Raipur district and construction of one box sports complex in each zone of the municipal corporation area. On this occasion, Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal talked about investing Rs 500 crore in Chhattisgarh and creating 15 thousand jobs. Chief Minister Sai and Oyo founder Agarwal tried their hand at table tennis in the game zone of Innovate.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented the idea of smart city to increase civic amenities and create new employment opportunities. Raipur has also been selected as a smart city. The state government is taking initiatives to continuously increase facilities in accordance with the smart city. Sai said that young entrepreneurs have many ideas of enterprise in their minds. They want to start their own startup, they just need a little support and then they will do wonders. The government is preparing this support system for the youth. Chief Minister Sai also praised the work of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh and the district administration including Raipur Municipal Corporation. He said that for a startup, an office, furniture, a good location, computers, WiFi is required, but the budget required for all this is beyond the reach of many young entrepreneurs. This office space is being made available to them in the form of Co-working and Innovation Center. Chief Minister Sai said that the Startup Co-working Center has been started in the Multi-level Parking Center of Jayastambh Chowk at a cost of Rs 48 lakh and the Innovation Center has been prepared in the Inter-State Bus Terminal at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
Here startup entrepreneurs will get an office to work. Along with this, there will be private cabins, computers will be available and furniture will be available, there will be a cafeteria. There will be an auditorium for presentations. They will only have to work on their ideas.
Chief Minister Sai said that if there is a co-working center, then other startup companies will also operate here. In this way, entrepreneurs with similar thinking will work at one place, this will also help them share ideas among themselves, which will create a great environment for innovation in the capital. He said that Ritesh Agarwal achieved great heights at a young age. He had an idea that people want good comfortable hotels. The digital revolution had started at that time, people were rapidly adopting smart phones, he started the Oyo app and this small idea brought a revolution in the hospitality sector. The talented youth of Chhattisgarh also have many such ideas. We are determined to encourage them. Today, the launch of the Co-working and Innovation Center is a part of this. On this occasion, Oyo founder Mr. Ritesh Agarwal said that we had great success through startups and currently 22 thousand hotels are operating. With the start of Innovate in Chhattisgarh, thousands of youth will get an opportunity to become founders. The dreams of the youth of the village will also be fulfilled. Mr. Agarwal said that our company has made preparations to invest Rs. 500 crore in Chhattisgarh in the coming time and 15 thousand jobs will also be created. Appreciating the policies of the Chhattisgarh government, he said that tourism has been given the status of industry here, this will definitely encourage the youth starting startups. He expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will become a startup state.
