The collector inspected the market routes and appealed to the shopkeepers not to keep their goods on the road

The collector said, first explain to the traders, then take strict action as per the rules
Kawardha, 23 January 2025: Collector Gopal Verma inspected the main market routes of Kawardha city this morning. During this, Sarafa Line, Gurudwara Marg, Raipur Marg and other main routes were inspected. Municipal officials, revenue department employees and traffic police force were also present with the collector. During the inspection, Collector Verma discussed with the shopkeepers and urged them to remove the goods kept by them on the road. He told that keeping goods by shop operators on both sides of the roads is causing hindrance in traffic and due to this the citizens are facing inconvenience. He advised the traders to keep their goods only inside the shops, so that the traffic can run smoothly. During this, the collector directed the municipal officer to run a campaign in the entire city to remove the goods kept on the roads and improve the traffic system. He clarified that right now the traders are being politely explained, but if the rules are violated in future, then strict action will be taken against the concerned shopkeepers as per the rules.
In the same sequence, Municipal Officer Mr. Rohit Sahu said that as per the instructions of the Collector, a campaign is being run to improve the traffic system in Kawardha city. He said that keeping goods on the road in the market area not only obstructs traffic, but it also has a negative impact on business. He appealed to the traders to decorate their shops from inside and avoid keeping goods on the roads. The Collector clarified that improving the traffic system is the priority of the administration and the cooperation of all the traders is expected in this. He said that if the traders organize their business place from now on, then administrative action can be avoided. On this occasion, the traders’ organization also appealed to cooperate with the administration.
