Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the boundaries of divisions and districts should be redrawn as per the need in the state. For this, a committee will be formed and a study will be conducted. This work will be started from Indore division as a pilot project. He also gave instructions to complete the redefinition of police station boundaries soon. He said that in the said process, discussions should also be held with local public representatives.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the division level review meeting held in Khargone of Indore division. In this meeting, he reviewed the progress of the ongoing development works in the division as well as the law and order situation. He said that after the division level review meetings, such review meetings will now be organized at the district level also. Chief Secretary Veera Rana and DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena joined the meeting through video conferencing. Ministers Tulsiram Silavat, Vijay Shah, Nirmala Bhuria and Nagar Singh Chauhan along with divisional MPs, MLAs, mayors and chairpersons of local bodies and officials of administration and police were present in the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary Malay Srivastava, made in-charge for Indore division by the Chief Minister, and Additional Director General of Police Jaideep Prasad, the nodal officer of police, were also present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that police should have their own bands in all the districts of the state. For this, action has been started in the state. He directed that such arrangements should be ensured that there should be sufficient number of members in the police band. For this, on the basis of consent, Home Guard soldiers should also be included in the police band. If sufficient number of consent is not obtained then band players should be recruited in Home Guard. During the review of law and order, he directed that the work of redrawing the boundaries of police stations should be completed soon on the basis of suggestions from public representatives. For this, action should be taken by forming a committee at the district level. This work should be done within the prescribed time limit.
Dr. Yadav said that for effective monitoring and tracing of crimes, CCTV cameras should now be installed through Panchayats at major intersections and public places of villages. He also gave instructions to increase the number of CCTV cameras in cities. He said that this work should be done with public cooperation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in view of the upcoming Simhastha, an action plan should be made for construction of new ghat in Omkareshwar and easy arrangements for darshan. He also gave instructions to strengthen the security arrangements of the visitors. Establishment of cyber police stations in each district was also discussed.
In the meeting, public representatives appreciated the decisions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to review the action taken to effectively enforce the ban on uncontrolled use of DJs and loudspeakers. He described this work as a better step for the health protection of the common people. In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged all the public representatives to make proposals for development works and send them immediately through the collectors of their districts.
Indore Range Inspector General of Police Rakesh Gupta gave information regarding the postings made under the caretaker system in the police department in Indore division, sanctioned posts of police, available posts and vacant posts.
In the meeting, the progress of cancellation of bail of selected habitual criminals, restrictive actions taken under Arms Act, Excise Act, NDPS Act and various sections, law and order, welfare activities etc. were also reviewed.
