The biggest operation of security forces till date in Bijapur – Deputy Chief Minister Sharma

Raipur, February 9, 2025: 31 uniformed Naxalites have been killed in a major operation conducted by security forces in the National Park area of Bijapur. Many automatic weapons including AK-47, INSAS and BGL launcher have been recovered in this operation. Giving information about this important operation, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that more than 650 soldiers launched the operation from security camps in the National Park area of Bijapur. 31 Naxalites have been confirmed killed during this operation. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that two of our brave soldiers have been martyred in this operation, whose supreme sacrifice I salute. May God give strength to the bereaved family. Apart from this, two soldiers have been injured, who have been immediately airlifted and sent for treatment. I wish them a speedy recovery.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that if we look at the months of January and February together, this is the biggest operation so far. In the area which was known as the resting place of Naxals, today our brave soldiers have given a befitting reply to the Naxals by carrying out a bold operation. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma congratulated all the security forces for this successful operation and said that the government is fully committed to eradicate Naxalism. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the fight against Naxalism in the state will continue with full force.
