Ten thousand volunteers will join the drug-deaddiction campaign

Bhopal. With an aim to further strengthen the fight against drug addiction, the Social Justice and Divyangjan Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh has launched a comprehensive training program for volunteers under the “Nashamukt Bharat Abhiyan”, which aims to enable people affected by drug addiction to live a respectable life and make the society drug-free. Social Justice and Divyangjan Welfare Commissioner Dr. RR Bhonsale described this initiative as an important step towards a drug-free future for the youth of the state.

Under this campaign, training has been organized for master trainers from selected districts in the auditorium of the Directorate on 18 and 19 September 2024. These master trainers will train volunteers in different districts, with a target to train 10 thousand volunteers. The training program in the districts will run from 23 September to 30 September 2024.

The volunteers receiving training will be registered on the NMBA app, where their activities will be monitored. Various representatives from the departments of Social Welfare, Education, Sports, and Youth Welfare will also participate in this training programme.
