Telasipuri Dham has historical importance, it is the karmabhoomi of Baba Guru Ghasidas

Collector Deepak Soni and SP Vijay Agarwal today took stock of the administrative preparations being made for the Gurudarshan fair by reaching village Telasi of Palari development block of Balodabazar district. Gurudarshan fair will be organized on 12 October in Telasibara, the karmabhoomi of Baba Guru Ghasidas. Thousands of devotees from the country and state gather here in the fair.

The district administration visited various sites with the people associated with the fair management and discussed the issues related to the arrangements in detail. Mainly he inspected the temple complex, bara, jaitkham, parking area, security, lighting, drinking water arrangements etc. and instructed the concerned officials to improve the cleanliness system. Instructions have been given to prepare a helipad here in view of VVIP movement.

Historical importance of Telasipuri

Village Telasi is located on Bhaisa to Arang road, about 40 km from the district headquarters Balodabazar. Where the Karmabhoomi of Baba Guru Ghasidas is situated. It is also called the Tapabhoomi of Sant Amar Das of Satnami sect and Telasi Bada by the local people. It is an important religious place for the people of Satnam sect. Around 1840, Telasi Bada was built by Guru Ghasidas’s second son Balak Das and he continued to live in Telasi Bada, which still stands as an ancient historical heritage.
