On this occasion, the special guest, former Organization General Secretary, BJP Ram Pratap Singh said that Swadeshi Mela, the symbol of the local platform, is playing an important role in connecting them with the mainstream and propagating them through many unique medicines, forest products, millets etc. related to folk life. .
The 7-day fair organized at the Science College grounds has become the center of attraction for the people. The crowd thronging the fair enthusiastically participated in the programs decorated with folk art and culture and also remained enthralled with the beautiful presentations and enjoyed it till late night. In the evening cultural function, the fragrance of folk soil was spread through the sweet waves of vocal waves by Bhupendra Sahu of Rang Sarovar Manch, Panduka. In the program celebrating the cultural heritage of different states of India, the culture of Kerala with its distinctive costumes and combination of linguistic colors spread its unique charm which was greatly appreciated by the audience. On the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day, a vibrant dance performance was given through folk songs, which was welcomed with thunderous applause by the audience, while a spectacular presentation of songs and dances based on the folk culture rooted in the soil of Chhattisgarh was given. In which the perennial music, the wet fragrance of Chhattisgarh’s soil, was presented by Tusharnag and the group. The swinging presentation of Karma dance by the artists dressed in traditional costumes was given by Rukmani Ramteke and her colleagues, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience with thunderous applause. Chhattisgarhi traditional dance was given by Relia Vairan by Bhavna Sahu and girls. The melodious tune of Mangal Bhawan song was spread by Ram Siya Ram group on traditional folk songs of Uttar Pradesh state. Gulabi Chunar group gave a wonderful dance performance on the song Dadriya, while Lal Soni gave a devotional performance on the couplet dance Ramstuti. More than 30 participants in four categories of traditional and free hand rangoli carved many beautiful scenes on the ground with rainbow colors. In the afternoon a dish competition based on millets was held.
