Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria visited Bhopal’s Subhash Utkrishta Vidyalaya to meet and interact with school children under the ‘School Chalen Hum Abhiyan’. She visited the class of 10th and 11th class students and interacted with them. During this, the students also asked her questions.

Student Piyush asked how communication skills can be developed in young children coming to Anganwadi. Ms. Bhuria said that in Anganwadi centres, young children are not only consuming nutritious food, but such an environment has been created which helps children develop physically and mentally. Along with the effort to impart education through painting on the walls of the centres, arrangements have also been made for physical activities etc.

Ms. Yamini, daughter of a Class 10 Anganwadi worker, thanking Minister Ms. Bhuria, said that I feel proud to see my mother taking care of the Anganwadi children in the same way as she takes care of us at home. Student Khushi asked about discrimination between boys and girls and the safety of girls. Minister Ms. Bhuria, while answering, said that at present the discrimination between boys and girls is ending. Parents are also helping in educating their daughters and taking them forward. The safety of girls is the responsibility of all of us. For this, it is necessary to educate boys first. Ayush of class 11 asked why all the schemes are only for girls and why there are no schemes for boys. Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Bhuria said that the state government makes schemes for people of every section and every age. Earlier bicycles were distributed only to girls, now they are given to boys as well. Scholarships are given to everyone under the Medhavi Chhatra Yojana.
