Raipur. Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel today attended the initiation program of Government Kodu Ram Dalit Mahavidyalaya of Navagarh development block of Bemetara district. The newly admitted students of the college were informed about the provisions of the National Education Policy 2020. During this, the Food Minister also planted saplings in the campus.
Minister Shri Baghel gave information about the main objective, provisions, features and various types of faculties of the National Education Policy 2020. Under the education policy, the group of subjects to be selected by the students, the group of generic-elective and the group of value addition courses were explained. Students have to lay more emphasis on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education, so that the students can become proficient in sports, arts and vocational skills along with the subjects.
Under the education policy, the students have been explained about the provisions related to credit based courses, continuous internal assessment and end semester examination. The doubts of the students or parents were also resolved. On this occasion, Nagar Panchayat Navagarh President Manjulata Ratre, Municipal Councilor Zahid Baig, Government K.R.D. College Principal M. Banjara and members of the college family were present in large numbers.
