Stock market trades in the green, Sensex rises 500 points
Indian key equity indices also opened higher on Thursday on the back of positive trends among global peers, after the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting hinted at further interest rate cuts in the US. In early trade, the BSE Sensex was trading 513 points or 0.63% higher at 81,980.40. The Nifty50 rose 130 points or 0.52% to 25,112.65.
Market investors will be eyeing Thursday’s inflation data, especially the Consumer Price Index (CPI), to get a hint on the Fed’s further decision. Apart from this, the market will also keep an eye on the results of companies.

Among the stocks of the sexes, L&T, Power Grid, M&M, NTPC and Tata Steel were the top gainers and each rose over 1%. In contrast, Infosys, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever and Asian Paints were seen trading with losses.
