Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the work of setting up industries in many areas of Madhya Pradesh will be done on priority. New industries will be started in Madhya Pradesh in the field of textile, construction of a tank for the defense institute, pharma sector and tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav today made important announcements related to industries in the Regional Industry Conclave at the “Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Center” in Jabalpur. All these announcements are related to the promotion of industries. Many prominent industrialists from the country and abroad participated in the conclave. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a very modern skill development center of textile will be started in Jabalpur, which will provide employment especially to sisters.
The second Regional Industry Conclave of the year 2024 in Madhya Pradesh was held in Jabalpur today. Big industrialists from Taiwan, Malaysia, Britain, Fiji and Indonesia along with various states of the country participated in it. It is noteworthy that the Industry Conclave was held in Ujjain in March-2024. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated 29 industrial units of the state and performed bhoomi pujan of 38 industrial units in the conclave. Public representatives from 10 different places of the state joined the inauguration and bhoomi pujan program. A total investment of Rs 1500 crore will be made in these and 4500 people will get employment. Letters of intent were handed over to the industrial units, which will provide employment to about 12 thousand people. Letters of intent were handed over for the allotment of a total of 340 acres of land. IT, ITES and ESDM Policy-2023 was also released in the conclave.
Agreement of Ashok Leyland
In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in the conclave, an agreement was signed between Ashok Leyland and Armored Vehicle Corporation Limited for an investment of Rs 600 crore. It is noteworthy that this is a new step in this field. This is an important investment in the field of defense production. Also, cooperation is a symbol of commitment to promote development and innovation in the field. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that till now the work of manufacturing cannons for the defense institute has been going on in Madhya Pradesh, now tanks will also be made for the army.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through 16 industrial parks in the state, a total of 517 small, medium and micro industries have invested Rs. 6750 crores, which has provided employment to 20 thousand people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of 67 industrial units today is an important integrated effort. Ministers, MPs, MLAs joined virtually from 10 places of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with the public representatives and congratulated them for the gift of new units.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today in the conclave, many departments have given information about industry-friendly policies. Madhya Pradesh is at the second place after Odisha in the field of minerals. Madhya Pradesh’s transparent process in the auction of mines is considered to be leading in the country. For this, an award was also given by the Government of India. Diamonds are mined in the state, now they will also be polished. Referring to the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India has created a different identity in the world. The country has seen many obstacles in the flow of time, but India has moved ahead with valor, hard work and self-confidence and has shown that no one can stop our progress.
Invitation given to industrialists to come to Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav called upon industrialists to come to Madhya Pradesh. He said that Madhya Pradesh also has encouraging policies in the field of labor. Many new works are being done in the field of education and health. In the last two-three years, employment opportunities have been increased through universities. Earlier there were only 5 medical colleges in the state, now this number is going to increase to 25. The state has dense forest area. Possibilities will be explored in this area too and they will be realized. 275 units are working in the pharmaceutical sector. There are 60 units in Pithampur alone. Pharma products are exported from our state to more than 160 countries.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we are ready for 150 percent incentive in the field of food processing. Special relief has been provided to the industries in the state on the supply of water and electricity. Two mega food parks are coming up. Already 8 food parks are operational. The number of such units will be continuously increased. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav requested the MD of Volvo Eicher to also start a research center in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav initially inaugurated the exhibition related to the development of industries and observed it. Details of product materials were given in the exhibition by various small scale industrial units and businessmen under Jabalpur Haat.
At the beginning of the inaugural session, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion and Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh welcomed various industrialists by presenting shawls and bouquets. The guests present included officials from various industry bodies including Adani Power, Netlink, Baidyanath Group Daawat Foods, Volvo Eicher, AVNL, NCL, Swaraj Shooting Lohia Energy, Adi-Shakti Rice Mill, Phoenix Poultry, Info-Vision Dubai and Dalit Chamber of Commerce (DICCI).
