State level function on Tribal Pride Day on 15th, PM Modi will inaugurate it
Raipur. A state level function is being organized on Tribal Pride Day in Raipur on November 15 on the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, ‘Tribal Pride Day’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this function by joining virtually from Jamui Bihar and will also discuss with the beneficiaries of the districts included in the PM Janman Yojana. On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a one-day Pride Day will be organized in all the district headquarters of the state besides the capital Raipur.
Principal Secretary of Tribal Development Department Sonamni Bora said that live broadcast of the inauguration program of Tribal Pride Day is being arranged for two-way communication in the districts included in PM Janman Yojana and only broadcast in the remaining districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and address the Pride Day from Jamui, Bihar. Central and state ministers, MPs, MLAs and Panchayat representatives, members of tribal families will be invited to the programs to be organized on this occasion and it has been said to ensure maximum participation of people.
Local freedom fighters and their descendants will be honored in the event of Tribal Pride Day. Under PM Janman and “Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan”, along with the promotion of schemes at village level, development block level and district level, special Gram Sabha will be organized in all the identified villages from 15 to 26 November 2024. In the special Gram Sabha to be organized on this occasion, Forest Rights Act, PESA Act, localization of Sustainable Development Goals at Panchayat level and glorious tribal history will be discussed.
On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, free health checkup camps will be organized at district level, development block level and hostels-ashrams and prominent places. Sports, essay, debate, quiz, scholarship awareness, career counseling, painting, language and awareness rally will also be organized among the students of ashram, hostel, Eklavya school.
On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, seminars will be organized on social, economic development, livelihood and entrepreneurship, art-culture and heritage, education and skill development, health and lifestyle at the district level on different days as per convenience during the period from 15 to 26 November. Along with this, the Principal Secretary has also given instructions to organize public awareness camps, development exhibitions in the activities approved by various departments.
