State government will give full encouragement to fairs and festivals: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister inaugurated Bhopal fair
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government will encourage fairs and festival culture. Ancient fairs are a part of our culture. Bhopal has its own glorious history. Bhopal also has a huge lake built by King Bhoj. This area has also been associated with Emperor Vikramaditya. The organization of fairs will be promoted through the Tirtha Mela Authority. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was inaugurating the Bhopal Fair at Dussehra Ground in TT Nagar, Bhopal on Saturday and addressing the gathering. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that necessary steps will be taken by the state government on the suggestions related to the organization of the fair.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lord Krishna received his education in Ujjain on the land of Madhya Pradesh. Lord Shri Ram spent a long time in Chitrakoot. Lokmata Ahilya Devi established the Dev Sthan culture at a time when temples were being demolished. The valour of Veerangana Rani Durgavati was second to none. She had won 51 wars continuously and in the last 52nd war, when the circumstances became unfavourable, she thought it better to sacrifice herself instead of accepting defeat. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh, which has a history of such patriots and efficient rulers, informs today’s young generation about its rich and glorious history through various spiritual and cultural events. Fairs and festivals are important for the common people.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this year in Madhya Pradesh, the government and society have celebrated events like Makar Sankranti, Gudi Padwa, Rakshabandhan, Shastra Pujan on Vijayadashmi and Govardhan Puja together. The government will participate in such important events in future as well. MP Alok Sharma, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, Govind Goyal etc. were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated in Ganesh Vandana along with public representatives amidst the sounds of conch playing. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the fair by releasing balloons in the sky. Bhopal Utsav Mela Committee Chairman Manmohan Agarwal said in his welcome speech that in the fair, businessmen participate in the interest of the citizens without worrying about profit and loss. Agarwal also gave some suggestions related to the fair. This fair will run till 31 December 2024 at Dussehra Ground in TT Nagar.
