State government is committed for the welfare of tribal class: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal:  Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that maximum efforts will be made for the welfare of the tribal class in the state. The state government is also committed to the preservation of tribal culture. Necessary facilities will be provided for worship at the places of worship of the tribal society in forest areas. Necessary instructions have been given to the Forest Department for this. In the Prime Minister Jan-Man Yojana, the eligible beneficiaries of the special backward tribal class who have not been able to get the benefits of the schemes will be benefited after necessary tests and surveys. All the works in the “Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan” will be done within the time limit. Tribal students will get the benefit of Akanksha Yojana for special coaching. The scheme will be expanded and offline and online coaching will be provided for recruitment in government services and admission in important educational institutions. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presiding over the meeting of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Advisory Council on Monday.

Tribal Affairs Department Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Mr. Nagarsingh Chauhan, Public Health Engineering Minister Mrs. Sampatiya Uike, MLAs, Council members, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Mr. Ashok Barnwal, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr. J.N. Kansotia, Principal Secretary Tribal Development Mr. Gulshan Bamra and other senior officers were present in the meeting held in the Vidhan Sabha Committee Room.

We will leave no stone unturned in tribal welfare

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that no stone will be left unturned for the welfare of the tribal community of the state. An initiative has been taken to include three-fourths of the tribal people in the battalion in Dhar district. Similar efforts will be made in Mandla, Dindori and other districts in the eastern region of the state. All necessary steps will be taken for the development of the tribal community in view of the conditions of the particular region.

Will ensure promotion of tribal culture and participation in fairs

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that artists from the tribal community will be sent to the major fairs held in the state. Representatives from different tribal-dominated districts of the state participated in Baba Mahakal’s procession in Ujjain last year. Tribal artists will be continuously associated with various events. The popular festival of Bhagoria, prevalent in the western region of the state, has its own importance. Tribal brothers associated with it will be given full encouragement. A decision has also been taken to celebrate Bhagoria festival at the government level.

Full respect to tribal fighters

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that decisions were taken to hold a cabinet meeting in Singhrampur, which was the first capital of Rani Durgavati, to name the SAF battalion after Rani Durgavati and to start a university in Sagar in the name of Veerangna Avantibai Lodhi. Krantisurya Tantya Mama University has been started in Khargone. Soon, an event will be organized in the memory of Gond King Bhabhut Singh, who is respected in the tribal community. The new generation will be made aware of the personalities of these leaders. The work of propagating tribal culture is being done through Vanya Radio.

Cultural conservation centers will be active

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that special efforts are being made for the preservation of tribal culture. Efforts are also being made to promote culture through the community’s religious heads, Tadvi, Patel, Bhumka etc. Seminars, workshops and Adiranga programs are held under the Culture Promotion Research and Development Scheme. Baiga Culture Center Mandla, Bharia Culture Center Tamia, Saharia Culture Center Sheopur Kuno, Bhil Culture Center Mandu and Raja Shankar Shah Museum Jabalpur are being activated as cultural centers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed to hold the meeting of the Tribal Advisory Council regularly and the members of the council to hold separate meetings with senior officials from time to time.

Madhya Pradesh is leading in many schemes

Madhya Pradesh is leading in the implementation of schemes for the welfare of the tribal class in the state. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 100 percent work has been done in providing Kisan Credit Cards to the tribal class and starting Jan Dhan Bank accounts. There is also 99 percent achievement in providing caste certificates, preparing Aadhar cards and implementation of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. To achieve the target of roads to every village, work is being completed in 24 districts by June 2025. Tribal society has been benefited in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to provide pucca houses to everyone. More than seven and a half lakh families have received the benefit of tap water in every house. The Energy Department has given connections to 13 thousand 800 houses under Har Ghar Bijli. The work of construction of Anganwadi centers is going on continuously. 355 new approved centers are under construction in tribal areas. 18 new towers are working under telecom services. Soon all 43 towers will be functional. Under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, 66 mobile medical units are operating in 87 tribal development blocks of 21 districts.

In the “Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan”, the works of various departments are being conducted in tribal areas. In the campaign, 25 schemes of 18 departments and ministries have been identified and are being implemented. This is significantly improving the socio-economic condition of tribal families. Information about the implementation of the Forest Rights Act 2006, conversion of forest villages into revenue villages, implementation of Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Upadhan (Extension on Scheduled Areas) Act 2022 in PESA area and the human resource arrangement and training activities done for this was also given in the meeting.

In PESA Act, information was given regarding new Gram Sabhas, Peace and Dispute Resolution Committee, Gram Sabha Fund, Forest Resources Planning and Control Committee, Sahayogi Matri Samiti, land management, minor mineral prospecting, excavation, control on narcotics, control on money lending system, responsibilities and orientation given to government officials for implementation of the Act. In the meeting, department-wise information was provided about the action taken with reference to the suggestions presented by the Council members in the last meeting.
