Raipur. Indian cricket team player Ajinkya Rahane came to meet Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai this evening. The Chief Minister welcomed him to Chhattisgarh. During this, formal discussions were also held on cricket and other subjects.
During the discussion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there is a good possibility of cricket in Chhattisgarh. Mr Rahane asked the Chief Minister about his interest in cricket. Chief Minister Shri Sai told that there was so much interest in cricket that to play cricket in the village, he used to prepare bat himself from wood. Regarding Jashpur district, he told that hockey is played here. Here the hill Korwa tribe does archery very skillfully, hence players take great interest in archery also.
Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane told Chief Minister Shri Sai that the Mumbai vs Chhattisgarh match under Ranji Trophy 2024 is going on at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium. He is the captain of Mumbai Ranji team. He told that the cricket stadium of Nava Raipur is very good. All necessary facilities are available here. Having international matches here has had a different impact. Due to good environment of cricket in Chhattisgarh, now new players are also emerging here. Mr. Rahane said that he is always ready to support the talented players here.
