Sports news: Before IPL 2024, this South African legend entered Lucknow Super Giants.

IPL 2024 is going to start on March 22, but before that the franchises are making major changes in their respective teams. In this episode, big news related to Lucknow Giants has come to light. In IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants have to play their first match against Rajasthan Royals on 24 March. But before that, the franchise has signed former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener as assistant coach for the upcoming season. Klusener will join head coach Justin Langer and fellow assistant coach S Sriram in the Super Giants’ back room.

Let us tell you that Klusener had a stormy performance for South Africa in the World Cup 1999. Along with scoring 281 runs in 9 matches, he also took 17 wickets. Apart from this, he is also in charge of the Super Giants’ SA20 affiliate (Durban Super Giants). Who made it to the finals of the recently concluded season.

Klusener has coached in IPL before too
Klusener already has IPL coaching experience, having been part of the coaching staff of Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Klusener was also the head coach of the Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2023, when they won their first CPL title. He has also done coaching programs with Rajshahi Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League as well as Lyca Kovai Kings in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. On the international circuit, Klusener has served as head coach with Afghanistan, while also coaching Zimbabwe and South Africa on separate occasions.
