Speed ​​and quality of health infrastructure development works are top priority: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla conducted an in-depth review of the departmental infrastructure development works at the Secretariat, Bhopal. In the meeting, the physical and financial progress of the ongoing construction works under the State Plan, National Health Mission, 15th Finance Commission and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission was reviewed point-wise. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed that the progress of construction works should be monitored regularly and all projects should be completed within the stipulated time frame. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that timely start of unstarted works should be ensured and the process of pending tenders should be completed expeditiously. He told the concerned officials that every project should be reviewed project-wise and it should be ensured that transparency, timeliness and proper technical quality is ensured in the use of budget. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed that monthly review of every scheme should be done and field monitoring of the progress of works should be ensured. Departmental officials were directed to set a time limit for all pending works and submit the progress report.

Technical human resources should be appointed soon Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed for early recruitment of technical posts lying vacant in the department. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla said that appointment of technical manpower is essential for quality and timely implementation of construction works. Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Mr. Sandeep Yadav, Project Director Mr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Managing Director of NHM Dr. Saloni Sidana, and other senior departmental officers were present. It was told that 2949 infrastructure development works have been approved, out of which 1972 works are complete and 754 works are in progress. 335 works have been successfully executed in the first quarter of the current financial year. Administrative approval of Rs 2483.37 crore has been given for these projects, against which an amount of Rs 729.52 crore has been spent so far. Bhopal has the highest number of 480 works approved, out of which 306 works have been completed and Rs 121.10 crore has been spent. Jabalpur division has recorded the highest financial progress with an expenditure of Rs 147.69 crore.

Under the state level plan head, 285 works have been approved, out of which 156 have been completed/transferred and 118 works are in progress. 9 works are not started and 2 works are at tender stage. Continuous progress of schemes is going on in all divisions including Jabalpur (Rs 37.28 crore), Bhopal (Rs 39.41 crore) and Rewa (Rs 33.01 crore). Under National Health Mission, 669 works have been approved, out of which 367 are completed, 245 works are under construction, 10 tenders have been approved, 12 are at tender stage and 35 works are not started. Till now, an amount of Rs 164.69 crore has been spent. The maximum 183 works have been approved in Ujjain, out of which 104 have been completed. Expenditure of Rs 36.07 crore has been recorded in Jabalpur, Rs 28.41 crore in Bhopal and Rs 20.05 crore in Rewa. 1934 works have been approved under the 15th Finance Commission head. Of these, 146 works are complete, 206 works are under construction, 170 works are at tender stage and 141 works are yet to be started. Indore (331 works) and Jabalpur (321 works) have the highest number of works approved, where Rs 63.84 crore and Rs 66.01 crore have been spent respectively. Under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-Abhiman), 61 works have been approved, of which 23 works are complete, 25 are in progress and 36 works are at tender stage. Administrative approval of Rs 87.39 crore has been given for these and till date, Rs 46.80 crore has been spent. Implementation of schemes is in progress in Bhopal (9 works), Gwalior (7), Indore (11), Jabalpur (14).
