Special police band of 350 jawans will perform in Baba Mahakal's procession

On the second Monday of Shravan month, July 29, 350 newly trained jawans of the Police Brass Band will add more grandeur to Baba Mahakal’s procession in Ujjain. The enthusiasm, excitement and attraction in the procession will increase manifold with the melodious tunes presented by the band. Police jawans have been given 6 months training in all the police units of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the police band will also give a special performance at Dutt Akhara Ghat during the worship on the banks of Kshipra. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, emphasizing the importance of the police band, had given instructions to establish a police band in every district and to encourage interested policemen to join the band by training them. On his instructions, police jawans were given training in musical instruments along with band playing in the police units of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Police Band has been an important aspect of the glorious history of Madhya Pradesh Police. Madhya Pradesh Police Band was established in the year 1988 in 7th Corps, Special Armed Force, Bhopal. After this, branches of Police Band were opened in 1st Corps Indore, 2nd Corps Special Armed Force (VISB) Gwalior, 6th Corps VISB Jabalpur and JNPA Sagar. At present, brass bands are established in VISB units of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain and pipe band in Rewa unit. On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, after 6 months of training, now police bands have been established in all the districts of the state. Along with this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has also announced formal recruitment in the police bands established in all the districts.

Police bands ready for Independence Day (15 August)

For the establishment of police bands in each district, 321 jawans of 1st Corps VISB, Indore, 6th Corps VISB Jabalpur and 7th Corps VISB Bhopal were given training and 19 employees were sent to STC Bangalore. In this way, a total of 340 employees were trained. After the training, police band teams were established in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming national festival of 15 August 2024.

Police band gave a captivating performance in the ‘Swar-Megha’ program

‘Swar-Megha’ program was organized by the band officers and employees of the police at Motilal Nehru Police Stadium in Bhopal on 18 July 2024 under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. In this program, brass band concert and police band display were presented. The members of the Police Brass Band enthralled the audience by presenting fan fair, quick march, slow march, standing display, drum beating, various film songs and melodious tunes full of patriotism in the program.
