A 15 to 20 percent increase in the number of patients has been recorded in the OPD of the Doon Hospital’s Medicine, Pediatrics and Respiratory Medicine Department. Children and older people are facing the most problems.
Pollution has been increasing continuously in the city since Diwali. Due to this, people are having problems in breathing as well as problems like cold, fever and dry cough. According to doctors, children and older people are facing the most problems due to the polluted environment. Doon Hospital’s Medical Superintendent and Respiratory Disease Specialist Dr. Anurag Agarwal said that on normal days, about 500 to 600 patients used to come to the OPD of the Doon Hospital’s Medicine, Pediatrics and Respiratory Medicine Department every day. At the same time, there is an increase of 15 to 20 percent in the number of patients these days.
Patients should not go out in the morning and evening
Flu patients are having trouble breathing. At the same time, cases of shortness of breath and low oxygen levels are also coming to the fore. He said that such patients should not use antibiotics. Apart from this, patients should not go out in the evening and morning.
