In a recent interview, the actress told Screen, “I will be very honest. I still live with my parents and my pets… and for me it is no less than a gift. My entire journey in the film industry has been wonderful.” Shraddha further added, “I think I am very lucky. My parents have seen me go through ups and downs, but I believe failure is very important for success. Failure is a great teacher. I am fortunate to have a great support system. I am grateful for where I am, because many people are waiting to live a celluloid life.
Talking about her father Shakti Kapoor’s struggle, the actress said, “My dad is from a non-filmy family. Their stories are very different. He came from Delhi. My grandfather had a cloth shop and he told my dad to work in Delhi and do whatever he wanted. My dad had got a job in a travel agency, but he wanted to act. He boarded the train and came to Bombay.
