Should mobile flash light be used while taking photos during the day?
Today everyone has a mobile phone in their pocket. There is such a craze for smartphones among the youth that there is a desire to buy every new phone that comes in the market. Smartphones have reduced the demand for everything from calculators to cameras. At present, all the smartphones available in the market have good camera quality. Even in budget phones of Rs 10,000, cameras with quality up to 50 megapixels are available. No matter how many megapixels the camera has, if you do not know the art of taking photos then everything is useless.
Along with the camera, all smartphones also come with a flash light or torch. This light is not only used to illuminate in the dark, but is also used as a flash light while taking photos. In such a situation, the question arises whether mobile flash light should be used while taking photos during the day or not? When should flash light be used and when not? Although most people say that flash should be used at night. But you will be surprised to know that this answer is not correct. So what is right? Let us know-
In Night Shot: Most of the new smartphones coming these days have Night Mode. If you are taking photos at night then turn on night mode. Believe me, great photos will come. It will work even in places where there is less light.
Indoor events: There are many games which are indoor. Sometimes indoor events also take place, such as meetings, parties or seminars etc. Even in such programs you do not need to use flash light. One should try to take photographs in natural or artificial light at indoor events. Similarly, in indoor portraits also use natural or artificial light instead of flash light. Using flash light will result in very poor lighting and shadows in the photo.
In larger photos: Even if you have to take a group photo, there is no point in using a flash light. This is because the flash light of the mobile cannot cover a very wide area. So whenever such photographs have to be taken, photographs should be taken in natural or artificial light.
So when will smartphone flash be useful?
Outdoor Portraits: Use a flashlight when you’re taking portrait photos outside during the day. By doing this the shadow falling on one side can be controlled. Shadow will not be visible in a shady place.
When light comes from behind: Many times when we take a photo, the source of light is coming from behind. In this, if you take a photo without flash, then the light coming from behind will spoil the photo. Try to block the light from behind the subject (whose photo you are taking). If you are not able to do this then use the mobile flash light. By doing this the front of the subject will also be illuminated and the photo will be better.
