Uttarakhand: The weather in Uttarakhand is changing rapidly, with conditions fluctuating from moment to moment. The cold wave is continuing to affect both the mountainous regions and the plains. People in the plains are being forced to stay indoors due to the chilly winds. Meteorologists have issued alerts for rain and snowfall in the coming days, which could lead to a dry cold spell. IMD Issues Alert According to Vikram Singh, the director of the weather department, most districts in Uttarakhand will remain dry today. However, fog is expected to cause difficulties for people in the plains. In higher altitudes, there’s a chance of frost forming. On January 11 and 12, the weather is set to change again. A yellow alert for bad weather has been issued for the districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri, Champawat, Nainital, and Udham Singh Nagar. Snowfall in the higher peaks is likely to cause temperatures to drop once more.
Jolly Grant Airport Flights Affected In the capital city of Dehradun, thick fog has blanketed the area since morning. Due to the fog, several flights at Jolly Grant Airport have been disrupted. The first flight from IndiGo from Ahmedabad was scheduled to arrive at 7:55 AM, but due to poor weather conditions, its arrival time has been delayed to 10:50 AM. Meteorologists predict that the maximum temperature in Dehradun today will reach around 18°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 9°C.
