Raipur, 17 June 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that Sen Samaj is a progressive society, it has a glorious history. The contribution of this society in our social, economic, cultural field is incomparable. This society is making important contributions to the progress and development of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai was addressing the Women District Presidents and Pratibha Samman Ceremony of Sen Samaj organized in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, he announced approval of Rs 20 lakh for the social building of Sen Samaj in Balod city. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by paying tribute to the oil painting of Sen Maharaj and lighting a lamp. Chief Minister Sai further said in the program that education is very important for change in any society. Today there is a need to take women forward in the field of education in the society. When a woman is educated, the whole family gets its benefit. Only a strong society can be created by an empowered woman and a strong nation can be created by a strong society. Our government firmly believes that women are the foundation of society building. The Chief Minister mentioned in detail the contribution of many people including late Karpoori Thakur ji, talents of the Sen community in various fields. He said that it is a matter of happiness that the Sen community is taking meaningful steps to remove social anomalies. Our government is ready to provide all possible support for the development and upliftment of the Sen community.
Chief Minister Sai said that our government is implementing various schemes to strengthen the economic condition of the state’s food providers. Many schemes have been started for women, which are helping to make the women of the state economically empowered. After our government came to power, we implemented the Mahtari Vandan Yojana included in Modi’s guarantee. Today 70 lakh women of the state are benefiting from it. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, our government has provided economic independence to the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh, so that they can play a strong role in their family and society. Chief Minister Sai further said that the aim of starting the Centre-run Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme is to improve the sex ratio, promote girl education and develop a positive attitude towards women in the society. Our daughters are our pride. Through the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme, we are ensuring their education and safety. MLA Purandar Mishra and Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Sanjay Srivastava also addressed the program. On this occasion, talented students, artists, women social workers of the Sen community were honored by presenting shawls and mementos. A large number of social friends including Chhattisgarh State Hair Shilp Kalyan Board Chairman Ms. Mona Sen, Chhattisgarh Sarva Sen Samaj State President Puneet Sen were present in the program.
