In various Gram Panchayats of Kabirdham district, in this festival season, along with the construction of their permanent house, the villagers are doing Griha Pravesh by performing Puja and rituals and the families who have got approval for new houses are sharing their happiness by doing Bhoomi Pujan. The head of the family is seeing his dream coming true, his happiness is doubling.

Shri Shiv Kumar Baghel, father Shri Nandkumar Baghel, resident of Gram Panchayat Chachedi, Janpad Panchayat Kawardha, has done Griha Pravesh while completing his new Pradhan Mantri Awas. Shivkumar says that it is a pleasant feeling to have a permanent house, this work was completed due to the help received from the government.
Shri Antaram, father Samaru, Gram Panchayat Gangpur, Janpad Panchayat Pandaria, says that my own permanent house has been built. Along with this, I also got 95 days of employment under Employment Guarantee. Now I will live with my family in my permanent house with pride. Shri Antaram further said that two days ago I have done Griha Pravesh by performing Puja and this year Mata’s Navratri is very special for me. Mrs. Rajni Chandravanshi, husband Shri Rajesh Chandravanshi, Gram Panchayat Jhalmala, says that I came to know from my Panchayat that my housing has just been approved by the government. In this Navratri festival, my family has started the work of building our Pradhan Mantri Awas by performing Bhoomi Pujan. Many of our problems have been resolved now as the house has been approved by the government.
Shri Samelal father Pradum, living in village Panchayat Navghata of Janpad Panchayat Lohara, said that my family decorated their house and did Griha Pravesh two days ago. The years-old dream of living in our own pucca house has been fulfilled.
Shrimati Mantora Bai Rao, wife of Shri Ram Narayan, living in village Ladhan, while expressing her happiness, said that we have done Bhoomi Pujan yesterday to build our house. The first installment amount of Rs. 40 thousand has also come in the bank account.
Similarly, many villagers including Shri Bisalal Patel father Shri Jeevanrakha Gram Panchayat Talpur, Shri Bharat Yadav father Jagtu Gram Panchayat Sari, Shri Ramjas Dhurve Gram Panchayat Kutkipara have done Griha Pravesh in their new Pradhan Mantri Awas. In many villages like Shri Ashok father Prabhu Gram Bhedli, Shri Panchram father Bhagirathi Gram Panchayat Virendranagar, after the approval of the new Pradhan Mantri Awas, Bhoomi Pujan is being done and the construction work is being started. All the beneficiaries are sharing the happiness of their new house with their families. On this occasion, local public representatives are also meeting the villagers and congratulating them on their new houses.

As per the wishes of the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, Shri Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma has been continuously making efforts to get the villagers their right to permanent housing. Due to his special efforts, 8 lakh 40 houses were approved by the state government for the entire Chhattisgarh state. In Kabirdham district, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin of the general category, housing of a total of 30944 beneficiaries is to be approved, including 24055 beneficiaries of the permanent waiting list and 6889 beneficiaries of Awas Plus. Out of these, housing has been approved for 18848 families so far. The registration and approval process of the remaining beneficiaries will be completed in a few days. 226 crore 17 lakh 60 thousand rupees have been approved for housing under the scheme, out of which 91 crore 75 lakh rupees have been released through DBT in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
It is noteworthy that from the financial year 2016 to 2023, 48657 houses were approved in the district at different times in a total of 9 years, but this is the first time when 30944 houses are being approved directly in a short time of just one financial year.
Housing is also being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana.
Similarly, under the Pradhan Mantri Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan Yojana PM Janman Yojana, a survey of 8597 families was conducted for the special backward tribe Baiga community living in the forest area of the district, out of which 8439 families were found eligible. Out of these, Pradhan Mantri Awas of 7402 families has already been approved. For construction under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana, the first installment amount has been given to 6678 beneficiaries, the second installment amount has been given to 3169 beneficiaries, the third installment amount has been given to 1206 beneficiaries and the fourth installment amount has been given to 06 beneficiaries directly in their bank accounts through DBT. At present, the construction work of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana is in progress and the construction work of 194 houses has been completed by the beneficiaries.
