Sanskrit gets a new lease of life in Uttarakhand, CM said – there will be a nodal officer in every district

Chief Minister Dhami stressed on promoting Sanskrit, talked about connecting youth with employment Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the 10th meeting of the General Committee of Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy at the Secretariat. During this, he said that concrete steps should be taken to connect the youth with employment by not limiting Sanskrit language only to studies. The Chief Minister also said that certificate courses related to Yagya, rituals and Vedas should be started so that people can get employment in these areas as well. Teach 16 sanskars to children, target should be fixed every year In the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed that the children who are studying Sanskrit should be given good training of our traditional 16 sanskars. He said that in the first phase, 100 children should be given this training and every year a certain number of youth should be connected with it. He also said that those who are contributing to the study, writing and furtherance of Sanskrit traditions should be honored by giving honorarium every year. There should be a nodal officer in every district and Sanskrit activities in schools

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has always been the land of yoga, Ayurveda, sages and Sanskrit. In such a situation, it is important that Sanskrit is promoted more strongly in the state. He talked about organizing debates, essay writing and shloka competitions in Sanskrit in schools and colleges. Along with this, he directed to appoint a nodal officer in every district and to put nameplates in Sanskrit in government offices. Learn from other states and work should be done according to the National Education Policy Chief Minister Dhami said that wherever good work has been done regarding Sanskrit, the best practices of those states should be adopted and implemented in Uttarakhand. He also said that according to the new education policy 2020, Sanskrit should be linked in a more effective way so that its promotion can increase. At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister also observed two minutes silence paying tribute to the innocent tourists killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
