Sales of houses worth Rs 4 crore and above increased by 27 per cent in big cities

Due to strong demand, sales of luxury houses worth Rs 4 crore and above in the first half of this year (January-June) in seven major cities of the country increased by 27 per cent year-on-year to 8,500 units. A total of 6,700 luxury houses were sold in these cities in January-June, 2023. Real estate consultant CBRE said in a report released on Thursday, the highest sales of luxury houses have been in three cities Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The share of these cities in the total 8,500 houses sold has been about 84 per cent.

Most houses sold in Delhi-NCR
In January-June, the maximum 3,300 luxury houses were sold in Delhi-NCR. This is 14 per cent more on an annual basis. Sales in Mumbai also increased by 14 per cent to 2,500 units. Sales in Hyderabad rose 44% to 1,300 units. Chennai and Kolkata saw 100 and 200 units sold respectively. Sales in Pune grew by a massive 450% to 1,100 units. Sales in Bangalore were zero.
