Sakri road is no longer narrow, widened by upgradation

Now there will be relief from traffic jam in Uslapur-Sakari road, movement will be easy

Raipur 23 November 2024: Common citizens troubled by the narrow road in Sakri of Bilaspur district have now got relief. After the upgradation, along with easy movement in the widened Uslapur-Sakari road, pedestrians will also get relief from traffic jam.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the road constructed from Uslapur Railway Overbridge to Sakri Bypass Chowk in Bilaspur at a cost of about 16 crores from the 15th Finance Commission and DMF fund.

From Uslapur Railway Overbridge to Sakri Bypass Chowk, the Municipal Corporation has upgraded and widened four and a quarter km of road. Due to road widening and upgradation, pedestrians have got a lot of relief. Under the upgradation and widening, the width of the road has been increased, dividers have been made, street lights and drains have also been constructed on both sides. This road is the entrance to the city, the need for widening of which was being felt for a long time.

It is worth mentioning that Bilaspur city is now developing as a metropolis. Colonies are being developed all around the city. Apart from this, business activities have also started increasing rapidly. Before widening, the road was narrow, due to which traffic jams and accidents used to happen every day. Apart from this, there was excessive traffic pressure on this road. A large number of vehicles pass through this route every day. With the upgradation and widening of this road, passersby, especially the passengers coming from Takhatpur, Mungeli, Kawardha, Lormi, Pendra and neighboring state Madhya Pradesh and the residents of the four newly added wards in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, will get a lot of relief, as well as traffic will be smooth.

Inauguration of road from Minocha Colony to Uslapur Crossing

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the road construction from Minocha Colony to Uslapur Crossing in Bilaspur city. This road has been upgraded at a cost of Rs 5 crore 91 lakh. It mainly includes 800 meters of road, divider and street lights from Mahavir Nagar Chowk to Uslapur Over Bridge. Works include asphalting, signage, road marking of various roads of the city. Road upgradation will provide great relief to the passersby and will get rid of traffic jams.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Union Minister of State and MP  Tokhan Sahu, MLA Takhatpur  Dharmjit Singh, Bilaspur Amar Agarwal, Bilha  Dharamlal Kaushik, Beltara MLA  Sushant Shukla along with many public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
