Recruitment Drive for Over 5,000 Positions Including Doctors, Specialists, Paramedical Staff, and Nurses

The Health Department in the state of Chhattisgarh is planning to recruit for over 5,000 government positions. These positions include doctors, specialists, medical officers, paramedical staff, nursing staff, computer operators, pharmacists, and others. The recruitment process is expected to start from June to July, with applications possibly being accepted from July onwards. The vacancies will be filled through the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) and the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG VYAPAM). Apart from nurses and paramedics, there will be over 800 positions for doctors, including specialist doctors. The recruitment drive aims to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in rural and remote areas, where many hospitals lack adequate medical staff. The administration plans to prioritize recruitment in these areas to improve healthcare services for rural communities. Additionally, over 2,200 positions will be filled in various hospitals and community health centers through the Directorate of Health Services (DHS). These positions will include specialists in fields such as pediatric, obstetrics, surgery, critical care, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiology, among others. Recruitment for paramedical and nursing staff will also be conducted through the District Health Missions (DHM). The recruitment process is well-planned and will be conducted in phases through CG VYAPAM and CGPSC. Furthermore, specialist doctors will be recruited for Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and District Hospitals, with approximately 125 vacancies expected to be filled. These hospitals will hire personnel for various roles such as public relations officers, human resource officers, lab technicians, medical social workers, and X-ray technicians. In Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, there will be 86 vacancies, while 35 new positions will be created in the state’s only government super-specialty hospital and PG Institute. These positions will include professors, associate professors, and assistant professors. Additionally, there will be recruitment for five registrar positions in various departments. Overall, the recruitment drive aims to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services across Chhattisgarh.
