Rath Yatra festival will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on 7th July

Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra will be celebrated across the country on 7th July. This great festival is celebrated with great pomp in many states including Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Every year on the second day of Shukla Paksha of Ashad month, Lord Jagannath comes out to meet his devotees.

At the same time, this festival is also celebrated with great enthusiasm every year in the Jagannath temple located in Gayatri Nagar, Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. This year too, preparations have been made with great enthusiasm for the Rath Yatra here. Special havan and worship will be done in the temple. Along with this, the tradition of pulling the chariot of the Lord will also be completed. On this occasion, a large number of devotees come here on Sunday to have darshan of the Lord. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and many big public representatives will also participate in this. Jagannath Seva Samiti has also made arrangements for distribution of prasad on a large scale this year. Raipur North MLA and founder of Jagannath Temple Purandar Mishra told in detail about the Rath Yatra that in the entire universe, Jagannath Mahaprabhu is the only God who comes out once a year to give darshan to his devotees and gives his blessings in the form of prasad. Only in the Jagannath Temple in Puri, three separate chariots are made for Jagannath Ji, Balabhadra Ji and Subhadra Ji. After this, this pride is received by Raipur, the cultural capital of Chhattisgarh. He said that even today there are lakhs of people in Chhattisgarh who are not able to visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri due to some reason, for such devotees, Rath Yatra is such a golden opportunity when the distance between the devotee and God is reduced.
