Ram Navami is a Hindu festival celebrated

Ram Navami is a Hindu festival celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama, who is revered as the seventh avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. It usually falls on the ninth day (Navami) of the Chaitra month in the Hindu lunar calendar, which typically occurs in March or April.

On this day, devotees engage in various religious activities such as fasting, reciting prayers, singing bhajans (devotional songs), and reading the Ramayana (the epic story of Lord Rama). Many temples organize special events and processions known as “Ram Navami processions” where devotees carry idols or images of Lord Rama, Sita (his wife), Lakshmana (his brother), and Hanuman (his loyal devotee) on beautifully decorated floats.

In some regions, people also participate in community meals or feasts known as “prasad” to celebrate the occasion. Overall, Ram Navami is a significant festival for Hindus, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the importance of righteousness and morality in one’s life, as depicted in the life and teachings of Lord Rama
