Raj Kundra Pornography Case: Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is once again in hot water. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent him a summons for questioning related to a pornography racket. He has been asked to appear for questioning next week. Kundra is scheduled to report to the ED’s office in Mumbai on Monday at 11 AM. Other suspects in the case have also received summons for questioning. Just two days ago, the ED conducted a raid at Kundra’s home.
In July 2021, he was arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic content. Now, he is at the center of a money laundering investigation. Although he was detained for several months, he was granted bail based on the evidence presented. The ED is currently looking into financial transactions related to the production and sale of pornographic films.
Earlier this week, the investigation agency raided about 15 locations in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, focusing on the distribution of pornographic material. This investigation is centered around the distribution of such content through mobile applications and other platforms. The case against Kundra began in February 2021 when the Mumbai police launched an investigation into a pornography racket. Several women alleged that they were coerced into participating in explicit content under the pretense of auditions for web series and films. Currently, Kundra has urged people not to involve his wife, Shilpa Shetty, in this matter. He claims that he is fully cooperating with the ED’s investigation and will continue to do so.
