RAIPUR NEWS: Professors of Kalinga University conducted training session in Police Academy.
Raipur. Teachers from Kalinga University presented during the Women Safety Course for Investigators organized by the police department at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandrakhuri from January 29 to February 2.
As per the directions of Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), a five-day workshop was organized at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy to raise awareness about the safety of women and crimes committed against them. Director of the Academy, Ratan Lal Dangi (IPS), addressed police officers from various districts of Chhattisgarh state on the first day. On the second day, teachers from Kalinga University organized a knowledge sharing program with police officials. Leading the team were Pankaj Tiwari, Director of Career and Corporate Research Center (CCRC), Saloni Tyagi Srivastava, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Abhay Mishra, Corporate Trainer of CCRC, and Darshi Sharma Guhe, Assistant Professor of Law who led the Women Conducted sessions on various laws related to security.
Saloni Tyagi Srivastava and Darshi Sharma Guhe delivered a session on ‘NHRC Guidelines on Victim Rehabilitation and Follow-up Compensation in Custodial Rape Cases’. Abhay Mishra gave a session on ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005’. The informative sessions were highly appreciated by the event participants and organisers.
The five-day workshop was conducted under the able guidance of Superintendent of Police Jayant Vaishnav, head of the academy. Other police officers were also present during the program.
