Rachin’s half-century, New Zealand’s score crosses 280 runs for seven wickets
The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is going on in Bangalore. India won the toss and batted first and scored just 46 runs in their first innings. In reply, New Zealand had scored 180 runs in their first innings by losing three wickets till the end of the second day’s play. New Zealand has scored 260 runs by losing seven wickets. Their lead is currently 214 runs. Rachin Ravindra hit the fourth half-century of his Test career. He is currently at the crease with Tim Southee. There has been a partnership of 27 runs between the two for the eighth wicket.
New Zealand got the seventh blow at the score of 233. Ravindra Jadeja clean bowled Matt Henry. He could score only eight runs. Before getting out, Henry had hit two fours on two consecutive balls of Jadeja. After this, Jadeja took revenge on him by bowling him out on the third ball. Currently Tim Southee and Rachin Ravindra are at the crease. The Kiwis have a lead of 188 runs.
