Pushpa 2 Creates a Buzz with Advance Bookings, ₹50 crore mark in pre-sales worldwide
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is being hailed as the biggest film of the year. Its advance bookings have taken everyone by surprise, as the film has crossed the ₹50 crore mark in pre-sales worldwide. Fans are eagerly awaiting Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is set to hit theaters on December 5. The advance ticket sales have already begun, and it’s clear that this film is poised to make waves not just in India but globally. Reports indicate that the film has surpassed ₹50 crore in pre-sales.
According to the tracking website Sacnilk, within just 48 hours of the advance bookings opening (as of December 1, 7:30 PM), the first day’s advance bookings exceeded ₹25 crore. Notably, 50% of these bookings were for Hindi tickets. The film has outperformed blockbuster hits like Pathaan, KGF 2, and Gadar 2 in terms of opening day advance ticket sales. In just 12 hours after the advance bookings opened, 300,000 tickets were sold for the opening day. In comparison, Pathaan sold 200,000 tickets in the same timeframe when it was released last January.
For reference, the Hindi dubbed version of KGF 2, released in 2022, sold 125,000 tickets in the first 24 hours of advance bookings. In contrast, Pushpa 2 sold 180,000 tickets by the afternoon of December 1, breaking KGF 2’s record. Gadar 2 managed to sell 110,000 tickets in the first 24 hours, while Pushpa 2 has already reached 300,000 ticket sales. The excitement surrounding Allu Arjun’s film is palpable, and it is expected to break the advance booking record set by Baahubali, which earned ₹90 crore in advance sales back in 2017.
