Public service with a sense of service is the identity of a public servant: Governor Patel

Bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that only a few people get the opportunity to become a public servant and work for the development of the nation and human welfare. Public service with a spirit of service is the identity of a true public servant. Governor Patel was addressing the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers of the District Panchayat and Block Officers of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor K.C. Gupta was also present in the courtesy visit program at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Raj Bhavan. Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the learnings received in training and the work experiences of senior officers should be used to solve the challenges of administrative life. He said that whenever you go on a field visit, treat the public with affection, listen to their problems politely and resolve them on priority. The problems related to the basic needs of the common people like roti, kapda, makaan along with water and health should be resolved immediately.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that in the past years, the welfare programs of the Central and State Government have paved the way for the development of Madhya Pradesh. Now development is visible even in remote areas. You officers have the basic responsibility to make the government’s goal of improving the lives of the poor, deprived and needy a success. It is the ultimate responsibility of your post to take the government’s welfare schemes and programs to the last person in remote areas. Sarita Bala, Director of Water and Land Management Institute, Bhopal, welcomed Governor Mangubhai Patel by presenting a plant and a memento. Bala gave the welcome address. Trainee officers Ms. Aastha Jain and Ravi shared their training experiences. Dinesh Jain, Additional Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department expressed his gratitude.
