Bhopal. Governor Mangubhai Patel said that public service is a great opportunity to serve the deserving, needy and poor. He asked the Deputy Collectors to understand the meaning of the word “public service” deeply. Always keep the feeling of serving the public at the top of their mind. The meaning of life lies in working with honesty and integrity during the service period.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the trainee Deputy Collectors of the State Administrative Service undergoing training at the Naronha Administration and Management Academy, Bhopal. On this occasion, the Director General of the Academy, J.N. Consotia was also present.
Governor Shri Patel said that it is the responsibility of public servants to make the poor welfare programs of the Central and State Government successful. It is their basic duty to ensure the benefits of the welfare schemes of the government. Always have a sense of respect and reverence towards the elderly, disabled and the deprived during your service period. Governor Shri Patel said that it is a matter of good fortune to get an opportunity to become a part of the administrative system to serve the state. Trainee officers should learn training related things, rules and regulations in detail. Adopt a solution approach in accordance with the social, economic, geographical challenges of the state. He appreciated the organization of quality training programs by Administrative Academy Bhopal to make officers clean and sensitive public servants. Governor Shri Patel also congratulated all the trainees for selection in the State Administrative Service.
Be sensitive and sympathetic towards the tribal community
Governor Shri Patel said that Madhya Pradesh is a tribal dominated state. The development of the tribal class is very important for the overall development of the state. Trainee officers should always be simple, sensitive and sympathetic towards the tribal community. Maintain cordial, direct and lively contact with them. Contribute to including them in the mainstream of development.
