It is worth noting that Tribal Pride Day is celebrated to honor the contribution and sacrifices of tribal freedom fighters and to inspire the common people and future citizens from their sacrifices. In the year 2021, the Union Cabinet had declared it as Tribal Pride Day on 15 November to commemorate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda, since then every year 15 November is being celebrated as Tribal Pride Day.
Regarding the comprehensive organization of Tribal Pride Day at the state level, Principal Secretary Shri Sonamni Bora has directed the district level officers regarding the necessary preparations for the event through video conferencing. Mr. Bora informed that the state level event of Tribal Pride Day will be held on 14th and 15th November at the Science College campus in the capital Raipur. Through this program, along with the glorious remembrance of the works and sacrifices of tribal great men, there will be an opportunity to protect and promote the interests of the tribals. For this, programs will be organized at the district level as well and various programs will be organized on a large scale at the state level.
