Prime Minister’s visit to Andhra Pradesh and Kerala

Delhi. The Prime Minister will reach Palasamudram in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh on January 16 at around 3:30 pm and will inaugurate the new campus of the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN). The Prime Minister will also interact with officer trainees of the 74th and 75th batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) as well as officer trainees of the Royal Civil Service of Bhutan.

The Prime Minister will offer prayers and darshan at the Guruvayur temple in Kerala on January 17 at around 07:30 am. He will offer prayers and darshan at Triprayar Sri Ramaswamy Temple at around 10:30 am. After this, at around 12 noon, the Prime Minister will inaugurate important infrastructure projects related to ports, shipping and waterways sectors.

Large-scale promotion of ports, shipping and waterways sectors

During his visit to Kochi, the Prime Minister will visit three major infrastructure projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore, namely, New Dry Dock (NDD) at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL); CSL’s International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF); And will inaugurate the LPG import terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Puthuvypeen, Kochi. These major infrastructure projects are in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to completely transform India’s ports, shipping and waterways sector and build its capacity and make it self-reliant.
