Prime Minister Modi has implemented Dr. Mukherjee’s idea: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee worked continuously on many issues of national interest along with opposing Article 370 in Kashmir. He was such a true leader in the democratic system, who also worked to save Kolkata and West Bengal as a fighter for democracy. He not only founded the nationalist organization Jan Sangh, but also separated himself from the then central government and decided to contest elections as an independent candidate. After entering the public sector from the field of education, he faced many such challenges which only patriots face. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Dr. Mukherjee never compromised with inconsistent systems. Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi responded to the violence in Pahalgam through Operation Sindoor. After independence, Dr. Mukherjee was the first to oppose such systems that were not in the national interest. His sacrifice will always be remembered. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi, fulfilling the life goal of Dr. Mukherjee, took the historic decision to remove Article 370 from Kashmir. In this way, the work of realizing Dr. Mukherjee’s resolution “Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan and Ek Pradhan” has been done. The entire nation has unanimously supported the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the ideological program organized on the topic “One Country, One Law” by the Culture Department on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in the Hansdhwani Auditorium of Ravindra Bhavan on Sunday. Dr. Mukherjee’s idea was implemented by Prime Minister Shri Modi Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had given a speech in Parliament opposing Article 370 of the Constitution. He was strongly opposed to giving special status to Kashmir. He believed that Kashmir is not just a land for us but the soul of India. Dr. Ambedkar also had the same view. Dr. Mukherjee believed that there is no compromise but a resolution on the unity of India. Bharatiya Jana Sangh also did Satyagraha on the issue of Kashmir. Dr. Mukherjee reached Kashmir on 11 May 1953 violating the permit system, where he was arrested and he died on 23 June 1953 under adverse circumstances. This was his sacrifice.

Dr. Mukherjee told us what our vision should be for the nation Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Dr. Mukherjee told the citizens of the country what our vision should be for the nation. Today India is the biggest democratic country in the world. There is a need to remember the mistakes made at the time of independence. Therefore, it is important to constantly remember the contribution of great men like Dr. Mukherjee. Today, Prime Minister Shri Modi has the courage to kill the enemies of the nation by entering their homes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the organizers and participants, especially the students, for this purposeful program.

The keynote speaker of the program, Shri Rajiv Kumar Pandey, said that Dr. Mukherjee’s contribution on the Kashmir issue is often discussed. Another equally big contribution of Dr. Mukherjee, which is less discussed, is in relation to Kolkata and West Bengal. Kolkata is an integral part of India. All the states of the region are interconnected through the Northeast Corridor. By maintaining the existence of this area, Pakistan could not have land contact. Today West Bengal is a part of India. Dr. Mukherjee understood these priorities and the very important issue related to national interest in time and fought the necessary struggle. In this way, Dr. Mukherjee’s contribution is historic.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi said that a great man like Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee is rarely born on this earth. Dr. Mukherjee was the Industry Minister in Nehru’s cabinet. Due to differences with Nehru, Dr. Mukherjee resigned from the cabinet. Dr. Mukherjee was a staunch patriot. He sacrificed his life for the integrity of the country. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Panchayat Minister Shri Prahlad Patel, Cooperative Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Bhopal Smt. Malti Rai, Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, Shri Ravindra Yati etc. were present in the program. Principal Secretary Culture Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla expressed his gratitude.
