President Murmu sought blessings for the happiness, prosperity and continuous progress of the countrymen
Raipur. On the second day of her Chhattisgarh visit, President Draupadi Murmu offered prayers at the Mahaprabhu Bhagwan Shri Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar, Raipur, and sought blessings for the happiness, prosperity and continuous progress of the countrymen. During this, President Mrs. Murmu met the members of the Jagannath Seva Samiti and enquired about their well-being. She met the public representatives and senior citizens of the state who had reached the temple on this occasion. On this occasion, Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Purandar Mishra and officials of the temple committee were present.
It is worth mentioning that the feet of Mahaprabhu Bhagwan Shri Jagannath of Jagannath Puri in Odisha had fallen in Prayag Nagari Rajim, located on the banks of the Triveni Sangam of Sondur, Pairi and Mahanadi in Chhattisgarh, which is currently worshipped by millions of devotees in the form of Lord Kuleshwar Temple. In memory of this, Mahaprabhu Lord Shri Jagannath temple has also been built in Gayatri Nagar.
