Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Housing allotted to 180 families through lottery system

Raipur – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government and Chhattisgarh Government, under which homeless families across the state are provided their own permanent houses at affordable rates. Chhattisgarh State Ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being implemented through urban bodies under the leadership of the Chief Minister of the state Vishnudev Sai and under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Urban Administration and Development Department Arun Saw and houses are being made available to the citizens under the scheme as per eligibility. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, under “More House More Hope”, today as per the orders of Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and as per the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, houses were allotted to 180 families of Mathpuraina, Sondongri, Daldalseoni, Kachana Sthal in the fourth floor general meeting room of Municipal Corporation Raipur. The houses were allotted to all the beneficiaries through lottery system with complete transparency in the presence of Superintendent Engineer Sanjay Bagde of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana branch, In-charge Assistant Engineer Amit Bose, Deputy Engineer Ms. Mansi Singhania.
A total of 11044 houses have been approved under the AHP component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Out of which, allotment of 8986 houses has been completed and the beneficiaries are being given possession of fully equipped houses after depositing the beneficiary contribution amount in full. The construction agencies will have to repair leakage, seepage, painting, plaster cracks and other problems in the constructed houses within a period of 02 years. Before giving possession to the beneficiaries, a complete inspection of the allotted house is done by the beneficiaries, after which possession of the house is taken.
