The newly-formed police band mesmerized the audience by playing musical tunes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated all the members of the police force for their excellent performance and appreciated their talent. Backward Class Welfare Minister Mrs. Krishna Gaur and Bhopal Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai were present in the program. About 330 policemen in the state have been trained as members of the police band. For this, I salute and congratulate all the policemen of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today in the ‘Swar-Megha’ program of the Police Band, it seems that the clouds themselves are enjoying it as hosts. I am happy today, I am sure that all of you will be immersed in this joy along with me.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the first meeting at the Police Headquarters, instructions were given that police bands of all the districts should be formed. Establishing a police band in every district was a very difficult and challenging task, but this work has been successful due to the willpower of the police. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that at the time of independence, there used to be police bands in most of the districts, but as the policemen retired, the number of soldiers in the police band kept on decreasing. It was a matter of challenge for us to fulfill this. We tried to have a police band performance in every district by 15 August 2024. I am happy that the police not only accepted that challenge but also made it a reality. Now every district will give a great performance of the police band on Independence Day. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there will be a system of police bands in all the districts of the state, for which recruitments will be done in a proper manner. He said that 340 policemen of the state have voluntarily started police bands in all the districts. This will power shows that whatever the police wants, whatever the administration wants, those works take a real form. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today’s day will be written in golden letters in the glorious history of Madhya Pradesh Police.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has taken many important decisions for the modernization and empowerment of MP Police. It has been decided to recruit 7500 posts in the police. A 50-bed capacity police hospital will also be inaugurated in Bhopal. In case of martyrdom of a Madhya Pradesh Police Jawan, 50 percent of the amount of Rs 1 crore will be given to his wife and 50 percent to his parents. The police has also redrawn the boundaries of police stations within a stipulated time. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I am also happy that the police has done this challenging work, which will benefit 22 thousand villages. I am confident that Madhya Pradesh Police will create its own identity by discharging its responsibility through such works.
Police band strengthens the interaction between the public and the police by increasing it: DGP Shri Saxena
DGP Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, police brass bands have been established in all the police units of the state. The Chief Minister’s vision of uplifting the police band is not only strengthening the performance of the police force but is also bringing closer the police and the public and instilling enthusiasm in them. The police band, while increasing the participation between the public and the police and strengthening it, its sound waves, as they resonate in the atmosphere, instill a sense of patriotism in the common people and make them feel proud. Be it a national festival or any other day, the program seems incomplete without this band. He said that the tunes of patriotic songs played by the police band, while instilling the feeling of patriotism in the minds of every citizen, also prove to be helpful in strengthening the resolve of “patriotism-public service” in the minds of the police personnel. Compared to other states of the country, the Madhya Pradesh Police personnel are performing better in this field.
