PM Surya Ghar Yojana is providing light, triple benefit

Along with economic savings, environmental protection is also being promoted

Raipur 25 November 2024: Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, a target has been set to install solar panels on the roofs of one crore houses in the country. Under the scheme, people in Balodabazar Bhatapara district are also getting the benefit of PM Surya Ghar Yojana. With this scheme, not only the houses of the beneficiaries are getting lighted, but along with economic savings, environmental protection is also being done. If Rishi Agarwal, a resident of Gokul Nagar in Bhatapara city, is to be believed, then he is getting triple benefit from PM Surya Ghar Yojana. According to Rishi, on one hand, while the house is being illuminated by solar energy, on the other hand, economic savings are also being made. Along with this, environmental protection is being promoted. Under the PM Suryaghar Yojana, 3 kW solar powered electricity connection is being installed in the houses of the people and this is getting rid of paying electricity bills to the people. Rishi says that I feel proud that I am using electricity without polluting the environment. I thank Prime Minister  Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for this scheme. Also, I appeal to everyone to get a connection installed in their house under PM Surya Ghar Yojana and contribute towards environmental protection.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, beneficiaries are getting the benefit of up to 300 units of free electricity per month

Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, up to 300 units of free electricity is being provided per month. Along with this, a maximum subsidy of up to Rs 78 thousand and loan at cheap interest is also being provided. Under this scheme, urban local bodies and panchayats are also being encouraged to promote rooftop solar systems in their jurisdiction. Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme will create more income, lower electricity bills and new jobs and will increase awareness towards renewable energy sources.

For installation of solar panels, beneficiaries will be provided a grant of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000 for the capacity of rooftop solar plant of 01 to 02 kW and consumption of 0 to 150 units of electricity. Similarly, a grant of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 78,000 will be provided for the capacity of rooftop solar plant of 2 to 3 kW and consumption of 150 to 300 units of electricity. If the capacity of rooftop solar plant is 03 kW and consumption of more than 300 units of electricity, then a grant of Rs. 78,000 will be provided. For this, the grant amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.

To avail the benefits of the scheme, beneficiaries can register by visiting Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar dot gov dot in or downloading Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar App in mobile. Beneficiaries desirous of availing the benefits of the scheme can get themselves registered along with getting information related to the scheme by appearing at the electricity office or CREDA district office.
