Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai for this scheme, Mrs. Kumar said that this concrete house has given a new direction to the life of her family and has filled her with confidence about the future of her daughters.
The livelihood of this Kamar family of Vananchal village Baldakchar depends on bamboo work, which is a traditional and laborious work. Despite this hard work, the dream of a permanent and safe roof for the family remained unfulfilled. Earlier they used to live in a kutcha house, where it was always a challenge to escape from the vagaries of weather. Mrs. Mamta and Mr. Pancharam have three daughters, Nandini Kumar is 10 years old who studies in class 4, Nidhi is 7 years old who studies in class 1 and their youngest daughter Lovely is just 3 years old.
Mrs. Mamta told that she earns her livelihood by making traditional bamboo art pieces and working as a farm labourer during agriculture. Earlier she was not able to buy bamboo for making bamboo crafts due to financial constraints, but now she gets 1 thousand rupees per month from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which she uses to buy bamboo. She is able to make Jhenjri, Supa, Parra, Tukni and other decorative items in large numbers, by selling which she is getting a good income, by saving which she is educating her daughters.
